The lion's share of resources were diverted form Afghanistan and redirected into Iraq. Remember the 700M that Bush secretly redirected into Iraq from funds allocated by Congress to Afghanistan?....What Bush did was an im peachable offense as only Congress can appropriate US funds.

We should not have occupied Afghanistan but helped the people to reconstruct their own country. That does not mean maintaing an occupying force. IN the case of Afghanistan, a multi-national force could have been structured to observe the rebuilding.

At least the Afghanis were willing to allow rebuilding in contrast to the Iraqis who want us out of their country.

Also, we are attempting to westernize Iraq which ia a huge mistake and the reason they want us to leave.

I will add that the Soviets and US left the country in the 80's without any concern to their future and the Taliban took over due to the ruthlessness of the warlords.

We cannot occupy any country that is Moslem, especially if we are trying to turn it into a western province.

If you know what the job in Iraq is then maybe you had better get in touch with Bush because he doesn't know.

Since you know, let all of us know what Iraq will look like when the job is finished.
