Another day of wonderful words-
today's prize winner was "puissant". I thought it meant content. nope. Powerful/strong
We had archipelago show up today, along with encumbrance, bequeathed, sinecure, menagerie, bombastic, gypsy, vagabond. grandeur, sodomitic, pizzle, plowshare, synod, ambergris, Pleiades, Bootes, pylferidge, ne plus ultra, tatting, anathematize, chauvinist, and I can't remember the rest. It was a HUGE day for words. It was a lot of fun too- because they were GREAT words. And I enjoyed learning puissant. I like it a lot. |
