Kerry didn't get me excited at first but the more I get hear him speak the more I like the guy.

BUsh has blindly led this country into a war in Iraq. A war that he clearly has no exit strategy in. Perhaps it's because of his lack of experience and his father's ability to cushion his blows growing up. But, he is clearly not a good decision maker and I cannot tolerate anyone who would send someone off to die in a war because he thinks God told him to..........that is outrageous and should send every American to the polls to vote against him.........and I say that with a clear conscience as a Christian. Bush makes all Christians appear to be braindead.

Kerry is becoming more likeable to me. At first I was in favor of Dean because Dean stood up against the war. But Dean had some other negatives that I was cautious about even before he self destructed. Kerry is the logical choice among the candidates left standing.

Kerry did make a quick decision under fire when he saved his fellow men in Nam. I judge his character on that incidence........he did it under the worst circumstances and did it under enemy fire and made the right choice...to save his men even tho he risked his own life..........I have to commend and respect him for that decision. who knows what we would do under the same circumstances. He proved himself in that one act. And he had the guts to stand up against a war that was terribly wrong..........after he had participated in it......he helped to save many lives by taking that position.

The flip flop stories are just politics as usual cause I know how things work back there in DC. Some parts of various bills are changed so often one can vote in favor of something one day and against it another cause so much compromise is necessary to get pet projects passed. Bills change all the time based on which riders are being pushed by Congressional leaders.

What really scares me is the prospect of a draft. I have heard conservatives say that Bush will bring back the draft if he is elected. The PNAC documents clearly outline a strategy that will need a larger military and most of the PNAC supporters are in the Bush administration.

I know that two Democrats have draft bills written but they are playing to their constituents who are too heavily represented in the military..........I mean minorities. If I was in their districts I would vote against them as well but I am not so I can't.
