I always like to help when I can so here's a basic system to follow

There are 3 questions of which we know 1 answer. In any conflict answer 1 is usually YES

1) Did it piss you off - YES

2) Did she deserve it (the cranial assault via desktop)?

3) Would it have brought you any degree of pleasure?

If you answered no to both then you did the right thing. No Action to be taken.

If you answered yes to either question it makes a borderline case for some desktop, up close and personal but a tongue lashing is probably a better idea.

If you said yes to both no fair minded taxpayer is going to mind replacing a desk. Least of all when a teacher is passionate enough about her job to drill a TA's head through a desk. Our schools need that kind of passion at the teaching level - hell - thats worth a raise
