ARE ALL ECONOMISTS IDIOTS?

This question is often asked. When Harry Truman was President he had a special request for his Secretary of Treasury after a couple of years in office. He asked if only one-armed economists could be hired. The SecTreas was baffled and asked why Harry made such a peculiar request.

Truman responded, "I never, ever want to listen to an economist say to me again.... but on the other hand..."
