When I see that site, my first reaction is "sick bastard" just like you. Then I think maybe rightie red herring? Sarcasm gone goofy? Then I forget it. I am certainly not going to push any button on sites like that trying to understand what the point is.
Edit...The banner at lower left seems legit. What's the intention of "By visiting this site you agree that you won't sue anyone, ever. If you find the contents on this site disturbing or offending - press alt+F4, shut down your computer and pray.".

Talk about bringing in the straw men…which you then do for the rest of that forgettable post...but "rage transference" is often a problem when discussing with the right.
Now I've also wasted time taking on some of the "Bush Did 9/11" crowd here as SI. If I was prone to "go conspiracy theory" on anything I don't like...well I don't like Bush (as president or CEO, that is, he might be an affable neighbor) and I certainly hated 9/11, but you connect the dots.
The problem is that many of you also connect them too easily when it comes to "liberal" and "press" or "left" and "anti-war". The site in question was goofy. Just because I'm skeptical that it was lefty..(and I treat every new controversy with initial skepticism- Scientific Background...sorry...you must try to prove your conclusions if you expect me to accept them), does not mean that I wouldn't accept it if you tried to back it up a little. And then I’d condemn it.

Whatever side you have instantly surmised that site is on, I noticed one thing...the "banners" section seems to rotate to legitimate sites honoring our dead. That's the primary reason that I question that the intent is so easy to figure out. No I don't think that site is really winger posting left, although "red herring" may have not conveyed what I really intended but "Sarcasm gone goofy? was meant to modify it within the same paragraph.
For example, if someone actually were to press the vote button...and if a message popped up with something like "You SOB how dare you desecrate the dead", I just wouldn't have been that surprised. I am really not interested in finding out if that is not the case either. At least I don't plan to press that button |
