Morning Hawk

IMO modern economies appear to be headed for deep trouble.
Which is not an uncommon problem, seeing what happened to the Japanese markets in the 1980's, or our S+L disaster.

The oil price situation is a bit different, since it affects everyone, especially the US and Japan.

When the facts finally sink in- the threat posed by militants to the oil producers and users- countries should be able to recognize the peril, and work together to stop the militants. This would include Spain ,France, Germany, and Russia who has certainly had its own problems.

I dont think the UN is capable of doing much about the
existance of militants, who come from perhaps 12 different countries and dont listen to anyones advice.

But the UN would be of great value in convincing others to help in iraq, and thereby free up some US assets to pursue militants elsewhere.

I am pessimistic this morning, about our economy. But the American public has always risen to meet past challenges.
