And wouldn't that grate on liberals who may try to watch Fox just as "oh no" grates on conservatives?

Since I don't watch Fox, I have to guess as to what the "news" segment does. What I have seen of it is "fair and balanced." It looks conservative compared to say, CNN, because the Liberal slant of their news is a given, and not recognized by them to be so. The left is in "denial" about this problem. JohnM would never admit it, and we just had the example of Michelino on this thread calling examples of it "lies."

So in comparison to the majors and CNN, Fox news is to the right. But the answer back is that this puts them in the "middle" on the news segment. I have really not watched enough of Fox to argue it. I have always perceived the "fair and balanced" as a harpoon being thrust into the Liberal media whale. And boy, do they scream!

The problem with Fox that annoys the left is the openly conservative commentary, like O'Reilly. This is a shock because almost all the commentary on the major TV media is left, but seen by them as MOR.

The Washington Times and the NY Post is open about being conservative.

The problem the media has is that they deny people write with a POV. This ends up tieing them in pretzels.

And the nice thing for us about the whole subject is that it is subjective, and can be argued endlessly. :>)
