Kerry was a true war hero. Ask the Republican Green Beret who Kerry pulled out of the water under heavy enemy fire, risking his own life to go back and rescue the man. If that's not true heroism, what is? Kerry won the Bronze Star for that rescue. Kerry also won the Silver Star for singlehandely charging after a Viet Cong with an RPG who was aiming it at his boat. Kerry chased down and killed the man. It was an act of total courage. Ordinary men would have turned around and fled. The rightwingers will try to change the details of these stories to make it sound less heroic, but they're liars. Listen to the 15 men who Kerry actually fought side by side with. They are the only true eye-witnesses and they total love and admire John for his brave leadership.
