It really doesn't matter what he was doing. First of all Clinton didn't serve either and I don't think that made him a bad president. Second, with the Vietnam era of men now becoming more active in politics I'm not sure we can use service in that war as a qualifier. Too many smart, gifted people opposed that war. Many didn't or wouldn't serve because they felt it was an unjust war. To weed them out based on service (or lack there of) in that conflict would further reduce our choices. As I sit back and think that we have a Bush / Kerry election I can't help but think our options are bad enough without using another questionable way to divide and thus reduce our choices.

Nobody can tell me that these two guys are the best America has to offer
