Ralph Peters is a retired military officer I like Peters, and was surprised by this column. The Army Officer Corps is really upset with Rummy's changes and the way he is going about it. That's too bad. The Army is so tied up in their old bureaucracy that it takes dynamite to change it. Much worse than the other services. When you make as many decisions as Rummy has to make, some will be wrong. What tears it for me in the present situation is that the Officer Corps is responsible for the this present fiasco, not Rummy. And where the hell is our new Army Chief of Staff? I haven't heard a peep out of him. Why wasn't he on the plane with Rummy to Iraq?
