Well, since we're the ones who'll ultimately approve the appointment of the people in the interim government, there may not be much of a risk.

Still, I think it buttresses my view that we are failing and that we're looking for a way to declare victory and leave before our inability to use force to "establish freedom and democracy" in Iraq becomes painfully apparent.
Well, if we leave, our money will leave with us, quite likely.. And that interim government will be left to their own devices and oil revenues.
But at least it will be THEIR CHOICE, not ours.
I think that's a success.. And even if they wish us to leave, we'll be able to absolve ourselves of the blame for what might occur afterward.
