You have absolutely no sense of historical economic or political development or thought. Communes derive from communism, where everything is state-owned and state-controlled. There is no individualism, because everyone lives and works for the good of the state and the common good. In other words, everybody is a slave to the state. Individuality can't be tolerated, because it causes friction and disrupts the state machinery.

Go study the philosophy, history, development, and application of communism in places like the Soviet Union, China, North Korea, Cuba, and Vietnam. It's gone in the Soviet Union and rolling back in China and Vietnam. Leaves North Korea and Cuba. Oddly, the people who seem to be most infatuated with the idea are ignorant Americans like you. Then again, I'm assuming you're an American.

When you decide which communist mecca you like best, I'll be the first to wish you bon voyage.
