TigerPaw I'm being charitable. I'm suggesting that Intel has good marketing, rather than bad design. Yesterday Intel showed silicon for a 1.7Billion transistor dual core Itanium processor. Your analysis suggests that this is a hasty reaction to AMD. Meanwhile Intel has been shipping record numbers of processors while AMD is stuck with a volume that underutilizes their single dinky fab. To think that Intel has somehow produced dual core silicon overnight in response to the threat of AMD is not up to the quality of some of your other posts.
