I'm just characterizing the rhetoric about the rich and taxes.

Teresa Heinz paid a lower percent of her income in federal taxes than I did last year. (I suspect the same is true of Buffet as well. If they are so anxious to raise taxes, they should make a donation to the Federal Treasury. They accept donations, you know.

Taxes are always sold as being targeted at the rich only. Inevitably they don't stay that way. The income tax itself was sold that way initially. And the AMT was created to prevent rich people from escaping their "fair share" of taxation. Soon the AMT will hit 30M Americans.
