Actually, I have been thinking about it and perhaps Berg was just a very committed leftwing peacenik kind of guy, such a peacenik that he starts sympathizing with the enemy. The Taliban Johnny syndrome. Then he runs into Mr. Black Gloves of the new rightwing paramilitary CIA.

Very hard to believe Ashcroft when he clears Berg's name so quickly after the kid was linked to Al Qaida, had a Koran, visited suspicious countries, had a muslim cleric type beard and was arrested by US (Iraqi) authorities and onloy released after his father sued. Also his father is apparently a well-known left-wing radical. Father and son seemed to be close, which means their politics might also have been close.

We need more evidence. Somebody is covering up something here, maybe everyone covering up different things. But who really murdered him? very suspicious Bush jumps to conclusions which perfectly fit his political purposes. Masked men could be anyone of course. Very convenient too the tape had the Al Qaida guy's name on it. Since when do they label their productions? And why is Berg in that damn US orange jumpsuit acting so calm in the beginning?
