Though details in the tape are suspicious (orange jumpsuit and same type chair Lyddie England was sitting on), the evidence to look at is also what's not presented on the tape, what Berg was up to in the weeks and months beforehand, and why there are conflicting accounts of whether the US was holding him or not. The Bushies are very quick now to clear Berg's name and ID the murderer as the new "evil-doer" from Al Qaida/Saddam (justifying the war), but this is not a clear-cut case and Bush and Ashcroft both seem to be shooting from the hip qay too quickly. This is very murky, on all sides. Also, look at the timing of all this.

I am not eager to blame Bush for this. I think Kerry can beat Bush fair and square without any huge scandals like this, and I also care about my country's reputation and the lives of our troops. But be aware, my friend, huge special interests involving trillions of dollars are at stake in this election and if the rightwing cannot win on the issues, they might definitely resort to using black ops (whom they control) for special dirty tricks. After all, who broke into the Watergate offices. G. Gordon Liddy was a CIA black ops guy.
