Hersch is taking a terrible risk as a journalist if he doesn't have the goods. And the strange thing is that he's pretty much always had the goods. He's been uncanny, and I've assumed that he had some Deep Throat in the Pentagon, or maybe several.

If it turns out to be true, Bush is done. I wouldn't vote for him, might work against him, depending on how high up it went.

There's simply no way to know at the present time. Unfortunately, what he's written is plausible.

When intelligent people say things like "in the event of another attack like 9/11 we need to remove all Muslim Arabs from the US" and other intelligent people saying like "the only thing Arabs understand is superior force" -- sadly, what Hersch outlines is plausible.
