Oh, I think I'm reading him the right way. I know Friedman has never had any use for the Gaza settlers, but he has long thought it cute to show his 'evenhandedness' by setting up formulations of 'on the one hand, head-chopping violent Islamist thugs, on the other hand, religous Zionist settlers' as if the two movements were just the same. These odious comparisons set my teeth on edge.
