You sound very out of touch with reality.
Steady hand, huh? And driving us where? Into a ditch?
Bush has made some of the worst blunders I have ever seen a presdient make, and it was so obvious, yet he never changed course. He has a steady vision for sure, but it is a vision which has about as much connection with reality as your statement that prisoners should be glad to be tied up naked and not have their heads sawed off.

Bush should have changed course many months ago when it was clear to most people that we were not going to be able to handle Iraq all by our lonesome. (The same goes for his tax policy by the way).

Now it could get worse and worse. That realisation is not being weak it's just being realistic. The only way Iraq can be "won" now is for Bush to be replaced by Kerry and US troops largely replaced by Iraqi and international troops. Once Bush is gone the whole world will breathe a sigh of relief and want to help us out. Also the Iraqi dissidents will likely calm down and go home.

Bush has made us all realize how great it was to have peace and prosperity. Now those are the two things we should be fighting for. So that means Kerry is needed.
