I don't understand this biz. re. "winning" or "losing" in Iraq... The Bushits feel if cede Iraq to the UN, then they've "lost". I ask this that what's best for the Iraqi people? Detention/torture camps and being bombed to smitherenes?

Or having a 3rd party come in and take over who'll have far greater success at gaining the trust of the Iraqi people. However, it's sad that the Bushits have made their own bed and have to fix it (until after the next election). From history we all know the success rate of the USA's interventions bringing democracy to any country. Hasn't happened yet and won't happen in Iraq. There's too much Oil at stake there and the Bushits wouldn't risk a hostile govt. being elected into power.
