Gay civil unions have been the indicator of the decline of major powers going back 5000 years or more. About the time Rome accepted homosexuality was about the time the empire fell to the vandals and visigoths. Christians will tell you and cite history showing that empires are destroyed by foreign powers when they accept homosexuality.
