Why, you might ask, does the military film these torture episodes. The answer is training. They cannot get American soldiers to commit these violations without first desentising them with the videos. Then they move them to being witness, guarding the area in view but not participating. Finally they become stars of the next film. This is policy, not bad apples. TP
