I am concerned that this may be a signal to take things to a new level of intensity.” As more information has come out, I have been somewhat struck with questions about Nick Berg. He told his parents he was “looking for work.” I cannot fathom how or why someone would think they can just wander into Iraq right now without connections to some organization on one side or the other and not expect to be apprehended. I am watching to see what comes of our investigation to learn more. Regarding torture in general I have been a defender of the US govt. policy and the US military, while condemning the practice on principle. “The US has unhesitatingly condemned these acts as abhorant and disgusting, even though they were perpetrated under its own porch, by its own sons and daughters. The US remains the best example of a free and noble democracy that stands for freedom and justice for all.” Message 20126391 I have posted dozens of times on primarily left wing threads in defense of our governments leadership in this matter. You seem to think people are bound to left wing/right wing alliances when they post. Some of us just post on principle. Usually that means righteous principle founded on moral rightness and falls right of center. It makes a better filter than how your buds are posting IMO.
