<<You say we are "buying time," but time for what?>>

Buying time for the public to stop fighting nuclear power plant construction. Time to develop the Tokomats or fusion power generators, to harness energy forms that power the stars.

Short term we need time to get the windmills, tidal waves, geothermal, fuel cells, and solar sources funded and working. More efficient cars on the road.

Aircraft designers are building engines and airplanes that are 33% more efficient. It will take time to get the old ones out of service, which we do by selling them to countries just beginning to progress.

The driving force for change is fuel prices, economy has not been a selling point for cars, it will be someday. It should sink in to the public at about what price? $5/gal ?.
And then we will hear the screams about what the government should have done.
