Interesting links ...didn't realize that Alexander had one dark eye and one light blue. The world was sure changing fast back in those days , and seemed inevitable that people would , after so many conquerings , would hunger for that one and only "Good Old Time Religion" ...at some point . But the foundations of much that we call "western civilization" begins with him. The priests saw they could conquere and rule another way...completely and totally. Write a good Book & sacraments to rule over all and put God in command ! ( yet make it unreadable to the majority ) back to Emma Goldman, this lady had alot to say , hits the nail squarely on the head with these two: The individual is the true reality of life. A cosmos in himself, he does not exist for the State, nor for that abstraction called “society,” or the “nation,” which is only a collection of individuals. There is no greater fallacy than the belief that aims and purposes are one thing, while methods and tactics are another… All human experience teaches that methods and means cannot be separated from the ultimate aim.
