If the piece Drezner drew on for this bit would drop the ideological stuff, the argument would go further. I've not been on a campus in which the education program, graduate or undergraduate, was thought to be among the more serious academic programs.

I favor training in subject matter.

But nothing will matter until we pay teachers a living wage. ;-)
