"The Israelis will have to start negotiating in good faith and be willing to make concessions."

First off, with what or with who. Arafat? Israelis have demonstrated a vast willingness to make concession and to negotiate in good faith.

"Vast willingness to make concessions and to negotiate in good faith"? Come on........you can't believe that to be true.

Where is there Israeli talk of the Right of Return or if not that, financial retribution for the confiscated properties; where is there discussion of removing the settlements in the WB......they can't even agree to give up the settlements in Gaza which is the lesser of the two occupied terrorities; as for Jerusalem.........I don't know where you got that the Israelis would give up half.....that's not my understanding from Oslo. Ironically, Jerusalem originally was supposed to be part of the Palestinian state.....instead Jerusalem and its burbs spread well into the West Bank.......and are 95%+ Israeli.

There's always some screwing around, but Israel had been far more compliant to Oslo than the PA ever were.

What? Are you Sharon's cousin? If Israel wanted peace, there would be two states by now. Israel no longer even agrees to the green line which was first discussed in the Oslo Accord as the common boundary between the two states.

There is little gain for Israel if there is a Palestinian state so she doesn't allow it. Yes.....a few hundred Israelis lose their lives each year but that's a small price to pay for room to expand and a huge new water supply.

You had Clinton bearing down on both sides, the getting was good for those who wanted to partake. Barak was willing and Arafat was not. Oslo's failings did not countenance the beginning of suicide terror.

It was Rabin who was bringing peace thru the Oslo Accord. And who assassinated Rabin? A rightwing extremist from the settlements. EOM.
