OT/ The refresh rate on the LCD is fixed at 60Hz, but does not suffer from the same "60 Hz flicker" as the monitor.

This, I believe is due to the fact that the lcd refresh is how often the (entire) picture is updated, and not how often a "line" on the display is updated as in the monitor- so you cannot see the flicker as the image is not flickering.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
