i guess you are not interested in getting the votes of folks who have differences with the way the war has been handled.

Mike,
That made me think twice.

You have a valid point. I have no indication that my posts have swung a single vote either way, nor have I been looking for that. If you asked me how to vote, I would tell you to vote for what and who you believe is right and best for you, your family, and America.

So why am I here? First I enjoy the banter. LB and I shared info on a variety of subjects on several other threads in the past. Second I enjoy writing about the military. I try to give an old soldier's perspective to the news reports and point out obvious (to me) flaws and lies.

You do not rattle me when you suggest you may vote for K. Vote as you wish. I have no objection to any decision you make about that.

If I can get you to stop for just one moment and think about the importance of supporting our military in these trying times, my effort here will be a success. If I influence you to write or call a congressman and demand he or she support the troops, I will think I hit a homerun. If you ever stop and thank a uniformed serviceperson or anonymously pick up their tab in a restaurant. I will consider that a grand slam.
