They ("you") are digging

kholt,
LOL.
Rule one. To get out of a hole, first stop digging.

What I have witnessed is this. The UN has never had a success dealing with terrorism. The US and the UN failed for 12 years to contain saddam. During that time all of the tools of diplomacy were tried. Clinton had eight years to resolve these issues diplomatically.
The sum total of his success can be seen in the acceleration of terrorist attacks against us both here and abroad.

The one thing that Clinton never understood is that doing the same thing over and over expecting different results is insanity.

Along came 9/11 and we sought a military solution. We are very close to a military solution for a significant part of the problem yet many want to go back to the diplomacy that failed in the past, before the job is done.

We are now finally doing something different and getting different results.

Terrorism is ugly and war is ugly. But I do believe that using an ugly war to rid ourselves of ugly terrorism is a good thing. We can stand down the ugly war machine after the ugly terrorists are gone.
