CC, a clear conscience and $5 gets you a mocha at Starbucks. <G> But many of us have fallen on our swords over ethical problems in the past. I've done it so many times that I think I may be a bit too prissy about my ethics or a bit too sure I'll always be employed if I want to be.

But it isn't just a person trying to keep his consience clean. There is also the fact that twisting the facts to give the boss what he wants doesn't produce job security, either. When things go sour, sh-t rolls downhill. I remember one job where I refused to tow the line and resigned with both my head and middle finger held high. The guy who took my place wasn't in as good a financial position, so he went along to get along. When mgt. proved to be totally wrong, they fired him for doing it their way. So, there is no safe harbor out there.
