He said he couldn't think of any mistakes. Imagine that when you take a nation to war in Iraq based on intelligence that was either incorrect or a flat out fabrication from a guy named curveball. Mistake? Any lessons to be learned? Imagine that you divert troops and intelligence away from Afghanistan in the war on terror to a new war in Iraq...and UBL gets away. Mistake? Any lessons to be learned? Imagine you tell the American people, "Mission Accomplished" and we are still losing our sons and daughters every day? Mistake? Any lessons to be learned? Imagine you tell the terrorists to "Bring it on". Mistake? Any lessons to be learned? Imagine you invade a country with no plan to secure the peace. Looting and rioting and terror abound in a vacuum of law enforcement that your invasion created? Mistake? Any lessons to be learned? Imagine trying to re-engage the world for assistance in the war in Iraq, and in the war on terror, after you have thumbed your nose to the UN, snubbed every opportunity to allow the world to help out, ignored the moderate Arab nations in the region and now you realize that you need to have international assistance and approval to make this or any operation successful? Mistake? Any lessons to be learned? We all know that he has made mistakes. But he will never admit to any of them. Nor will he tell the nation what has been learned and how we will go forward. He has not tried to engage our allies. He has not done that from the beginning...and still the diplomatic front is stalled out. Our credibility has been badly damaged. Orca
