Heinz-Kerry IRS Tax Return Strategy Tell the public we won't release any data until October because we filed for an extension. If we do this and hold up the release until October 31 we can limit the amount of time the Republicans have to question the returns and all our charitable donations. Some these donations may look a little strange to the interested public. Instruct the staff to issue a press release ASAP out our plan for a future release to quiet down the media. We should be thankful that the Republicans haven't wised up to demand the 2002 tax returns.
