Hi John,
Hope you are having a terrific day.

I have two questions.

I was listening to the radio on the way home from Home Depot this afternoon. They were discussing the exorbitant and outrageous property taxes in NJ. A state pol got on the line and spoke repeatedly about the plan to raise the property tax on the top 23,000 homes in value higher, and reduce everyone elses' taxes in two years.

While making his point he argued twice that NJ residents get their money's worth because (Said twice) NJ schools rate in the top "5" in the country.

I got real concerned for a moment because I did not want to listen to this stuff here in N Idaho and was about to switch to a country western station when a new caller got my attention. So I continued to listen just for you.

The second caller said that the NJ politician was right. NJ schools are in the top 5 in the country but only in dollars spent @ over $10,000 per student per year. BUT, NJ schools are rated 37th in the country when rated by results including SAT scores.

So my questions are...not to get personal...but will you be able to afford the property tax increase?

And/or...Is the reason you argue so hard for more money for teachers because you need a raise to pay this pending property tax increase?
