Actually, Steve Taylor is on the fringe. He is a Christian artist who sees his faith in the music as one avenue to educate and enforce his Christian beliefs. Quite a movement over the past couple decades aimed towards youth and young adults through music. Steve Taylor is kind of a looney rock n roller in that most of his music pokes fun at the establishment in one way or another but there is still the message. He looks the part too. He will never be compared to the ultimate Christian rockers of his time like Stryper or Petra but he brings a certain magnetism to the table. There is one song of his I REALLY trust called Babylon. It is not his originally but the message is clear and very touching. The video is even better if you can find it.

Believe it or not, while in France, I made it a point to find Jim Morrison's grave once my friend mentioned it to me. The headstone...or monument...was in rather poor shape.
