...one that removes Israel from the the American mythology altogether, not one that is agressive and attacks countries for Israel's sake. We're certainly at the point politically where it can be done, we can reduce our Zionist prejudice tremendously with decency gains and a new geopolitics. Hence, the U.S. should put much more pressure on Israel to settle their dispute with the Palestinians, like witholding money. But, such moves would kill the two biggest money making industries in the US, religious fanaticism and arms dealing, so don't expect a secular foreign policy out of Washington any time soon. As much as we cringe at these daily reports of carnage from Iraq, the media-military complex loves them, it means more money, more mass control, more of everything that keeps them in existence.

A sad but true assessment of the world in the early 21st Century.
