I am categorically against any U.S. taxpayer-funded, government expenditures directed to any foreign governments, regardless of where they fall on the spectrum from humanitarian to military aid. That's certainly consistent with the Libertarian point of view as I understand it, and I accept it as a valid worldview. Thanks for being consistent. I certainly agree that most of the foreign aid money would be much better spent right here in America, or in the Libertarians point of view, not spent or collected in the first place at all. I think the one reason why it does matter to Americans if the two sides in the Isreali/Palestinian conflict keep fighting is because that "fighting" sometimes spills onto our own soil, with attacks on jews or arabs in our own country, and things like 9/11 which might be loosely associated with that never-ending conflict in Middle East. So, I do think we have a vested interest in bringing about peace between the Isrealies and Palestinians, no matter how convoluted some of the rationals for fighting are (as you rightly pointed out), especially since we're the ones who keep Isreal afloat with foreign aid. We certainly could influence that situation if we desired to do so.
