upon reflection, i now tend to agree with Lance Lewis that the sudden jump in the M1 growth RoC is actually an outward sign ( one of several, i might add ) of growing risk aversion. when looking closely at past , similar jumps, it appears that their beginning stages actually slightly PRECEDED the financial crises that followed, and the RoC growth intensified then DURING the crises.
if this interpretation is correct, it implies that some sort of financial crisis is very likely ABOUT TO BEGIN.
