Interesting, thanks for the comments.

After posting the article, I did a little more enquiries around the net and ran across a few other articles, which disputed that authors contentions. I would imagine records of Russians killed and other such acts of violence would be hard to pinpoint with a high degree of accuracy at this point in time.

In some of the article I read, it was thought provoking to read how roughless the Russian army was to any German who resisted the occupation. Even given the shocking pictures of prisoner abuse, I would imagine our army is acting like saints in comparison.

Different time, far different mass media of coverage and accountability though.

It did give me renewed hope things can still work out well for the people of Iraq though.
