I live in a small community and there are 20 listings for Berg in the phone book here. I don't know that the name could be considered common, but it isn't uncommon. I'd also tend to think that if Phil and Nick were close, Nick's folks would have consulted with him on the abduction of their son, which I don't believe is the case. Probably of more interest is there is supposedly a connection between Nick Berg and Moussai (sp?), something about Moussai using Berg's email address. I don't know the source of the claim, so I don't know if it's credible. If true, it would certainly raise some interesting questions.
