Both AKA AND ORI have underground workings and most of the work is underground and as Chris says they can work year round. There are 4 on the board of AKA and they have over 2.3 million shares between them. They have even excercised some options this year. They also receive around 11,000 US once per year from BMR gold for advances on net smelter returns against future production.(See BMR net page) AKA gets about 6% net smelter returns on production which is equivalent
to about a 30% joint venture ratio. They also have property not far away called the tally-ho property which some work by prior owner has shown possible good merit. This stock is TIGHT with the board owning 1/3 and I know of quite a few holders of in excess of 100,000 shares each.

As for year end stock loss selling I would think that would have been done years ago. With the 30 day rebuy rules one would be taking an awful chance to try and pick up a loss on small holdings and get back in. Just look at the volume and see what your chances are. The game is called HOLD/BUY.
