Navel-Gazing In New Jersey
By Captain Ed on Presidential Election - Captain's Quarters

Those numbers have been around for a while; I saw them earlier this week and had the impression they were several days old then.

I don't see any scenario under which Bush takes NJ; but these numbers could, as the writer suggests, lead the Kerry folk to divert resources to Jersey. Which would, obviously, not be a good thing.

My own suspicion is they are tapping in to McGreevy's bad numbers more than finding judgments made about Kerry. That and the fact Kerry is still largely an unknown. Which will change with national advertising.

But, keep it quiet, it does give me an ever so slight case of heartburn.
