You did imply that the wedding party was at fault for not changing it's traditional celebratory gunfire. If that's not a blame the victim approach I don't know what is. The suggestion is similar to admonishing Amercian groups, 16 miles into a rural area, to forgo fireworks on the fourth of july.

Nobody in Iraq was requesting the U.S. invade, and that matters a lot.
