Given the current state of military activity in Iraq, it would be better for Iraqis to celebrate weddings without firing weapons in the air, or, if they really must do so, inform the Cow military authorities that there will be a wedding and gunfire at such and such a place at such and such a time [give or take an hour or two to allow for the bride being traditionally late].

It seems remarkably stupid to be firing guns when it's known there are heavily armed soldiers around who are likely to fire back. I suppose this is evolution in progress; those weddings firing guns won't go on to have children and eventually the gun-firing gene will be eliminated.

Or, maybe the word 'wedding' in Iraq means a marriage of various armed militia into a combined force and the babies will be suicide bombs at Cow checkpoints.
