On democracy and freedom if this is not enough from a man with a face, nothing would suffice!
<This is shocking, military actions in this day and age are not condonable, no one can condone it, this was nothing but 'broad day light banditry' and 'hi-treason' in my opinion. This is condemnable. We need immediate installation of a civilian set up (AS MUCH CRIPPLED IT MAY BE) and need army to back to barracks. This trampling of 'constitution' makes me feel so poor, depressed and annoyed that 'why us only in the world can go to these extremes' this is making mockery of what we call constitution.
Whatever the reasons, the generals with heavy boots have killed the nascent democracy in the bud that we Pakistanis were trying to build. They should realize the economy is 'bad' because 600,000 standing army needs 8% of the GDP and that cannot go on for ever. To cut the last pound of flesh and demand from politicians to keep begging for more is not going to work. This time around the hardest hit will be their own interest, no one trusts our commitments and no one like this belligerency in our attitudes. The economic impact of this action would traumatize the country for long term. What can I say I am ashamed that I have to see this today, I wish as a nation we could have had little tolerance, little love little forbearance and less of this urge to keep fighting a futile battle for nothing, that is destroying us.. >

The good thing when you write as known person is that you get credit and muck, you cannot change your words, your mistakes and your credits can be thrown on your face, the very reason it takes a very big man to compose his 8 years at an open forum constitutes a big success for me, I think that this shows ultimate fortitude, ability to say things that you may be accountable down the line, anonymous posting is worthless piece of junk because no one unaccountable, the very reason many do it does not make it a great thing, anonymous letters are thrown in dustbin, we here can reproduce, we are here our whole life of 8 years is a contemporary history, any action global or regional if that pertained to freedom we have commented and we take pride, this is the expertise for known faces and known people who should be accountable to what we write, right or wrong is not the issue.
Writing from Islamabad and under thumb of Mush as a person known to everyone has given me this hope that my country is not Iraq. In Iraq such a dissent is and was punishable by death. Cowards with no face and no marks of pedigree destroy regularly the sanctity of this thread, they are unaware that this thread biggest strength is its accountability and that buries a lot of these cowards in their own manure. |
