No doubt the Tuesday short seller in UTEK is feeling a bit bloodied and beaten down following Wednesday's UTEK rally. The shares gained a handsome 5.2% in Wednesday's session as buyers controlled the days trading with no apparent return by the shortseller in Wednesday dealings. The real threat to the shortseller is the potential that UTEK will begin seeing a pickup in orders as investors look at the explosive potential of the new product portfolio as well as the overall pickup in semiconductor capital equipment business which is now sweeping AMAT, ADEX, KLAC, KLIC, LRCX and NVLS sharply higher. When investors begin bidding up UTEK's shares the stock should sail into the thirties with little difficulty. Maybe then Mr. Shortseller will be looking around for some UTEK too!
