Whatever the strategy, it must be with Apples Long term Health in mind which in my opinion is not the way it is. So a change is needed and that is what is happening.
On the MacOs being transparent and not mattering, we will just agree to disagree being of two different minds. I was at a new Mac Site (Very complete with Free support Tips Links All the News, etc. and at the end they close by saying it is a non-profit site, and that when ask why they did it, it was simply for the Love of the Mac. How many Mac Users groups are funded from grass roots.
I have yet to hear someone that is in Love with Windows 95, DOS 3.0, or some other system. With the Mac I must truly say that I hear it all the time. And it is there were the difference lies. When you are in Love, your creative juices flow, you are happy, its that mystical rainbow (Apple) in your heart.
