Karen, if everyone who prides themselves on being more civilized than fascists and terrorists is "set up as paragon" so that the dirt of war sticks only to them, thus creating a huge inducement for the other side to produce lots of it while whining loudly, we have a basic problem. The corollary to this statement is that every country going to war should announce beforehand that they are sorry, but civilized behavior will only follow victory, and they don't care what any reporter has to say about it.
