Updated: 1:13 p.m. ET May 21, 2004NEW YORK - NBC News has learned that a perjury charge is expected to be filed against a U.S. Secret Service employee involved in the Martha Stewart stock-manipulation case.

U.S. Attorney David Kelley is expected to unveil the charge at a press conference at 2 p.m. ET, NBC News correspondent Pete Williams reported.

Stewart was convicted in March of lying to investigators about a personal stock sale. Sentencing is expected in June.
